Software licence and terms of use

These terms apply to every calculation tool, spreadsheet and template sold by Primavo. By purchasing, downloading or using a tool you agree to them. Full text is included in every download; this is the same text.

1. What you are buying

A licence to use the tool, not ownership of it. We keep all intellectual property in the tool, its code, method, layout and documentation.

2. Licence grant

Single-user licence: one named person may install and use the tool on up to two devices they control. Company licence: up to five named users within one organisation. The licence is perpetual for the version purchased and is not transferable.

3. What you may not do

Share, resell, sublicense, rent or publish the tool or its code. Remove or alter any copyright notice, branding or version reference. Reverse-engineer the tool or use it to build a competing product. Present the tool's output as ours, or imply we have designed, checked or approved a project.

4. Engineering responsibility

The tool performs calculations from the inputs you enter. It does not design a system, verify site conditions, check compliance, or replace the judgement of a competent engineer. You are responsible for the accuracy of inputs, for checking outputs against the relevant standards and manufacturer data, and for any design, specification, installation or certification based on them. We are not the designer or engineer of record for any project on which the tool is used.

5. Standards and updates

Each tool states the standards and methods it follows. Standards change; you must confirm the version in the tool is current for your project. Updates are provided at our discretion and may be free or chargeable.

6. No warranty

The tool is provided as is. We do not warrant that it is error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular project. To the extent permitted by law, all implied warranties are excluded.

7. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the tool is limited to the price you paid for it. We are not liable for loss of profit, business, contracts or data, or for any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.

8. Refunds

The tool is a digital product delivered immediately. Once downloaded, the statutory 14-day cancellation right no longer applies and refunds are at our discretion. If a tool does not run as described, contact us within 14 days and we will fix it or refund you.

9. Support, termination, data, law

Support is by email and limited to installation and use of the tool. The licence ends automatically if you breach section 3; on termination you must delete all copies. The tools run locally and send no project data to us; purchase data is processed by Gumroad under its privacy policy. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
