What we take off your desk
Defined packages for the work that piles up before a deadline. Each one is issued as PDF drawings or a sizing schedule plus a calculation note, under written terms, with a stated turnaround.
Ductwork and pipework sizing
Darcy–Weisbach and Colebrook–White, not chart readings. Sizes snapped to DW144 rectangular and BS EN 1506 round, velocities to CIBSE Guide B and BS 8233, index run and fan or pump duty.

How a package runs
Six steps, the same every time, so you know what arrives and when. Working hours are evenings and weekends; replies within one working day.

How we check
Every result, a second way
- Two methods. Each sizing is run from first principles and checked against the standard's look-up or a second calculator before issue.
- Standards stated. The edition of every standard used is written on the drawing and in the note, so a reviewer checks against the same document.
- Assumptions logged. Inputs and assumptions are recorded as the design is built, not reconstructed afterwards.
- One signatory. The engineer who quotes the package is the engineer who models, calculates, checks and signs it.

Tools are sold under a licence with liability limited to the purchase price. They are calculation aids for competent engineers, not a substitute for design responsibility.

Indicative starting fees for defined packages. Anything outside the schedule is quoted fixed where the scope is clear and at £55 an hour where it is not.

Fees exclude VAT, surveys, site visits, Building Control charges and manufacturer selections. 50% deposit on instruction, balance on issue, 14-day terms. One round of comments is included; further rounds are quoted as a variation.
05 — Practice
Senior-led, by design
Primavo is a building services design practice led by its founding engineer. Packages are not passed down a desk: the person who quotes the work models it, calculates it, checks it and signs it.
